Earth Observation: Methods and Applications
Course provides basic knowledge of the various remote sensing sensor families, including optical, infrared and microwave radiometers, spectrometers, and active sensors such as LiDARS, radars, SAR, and altimeters. Selected applications (weather forecasting, hydrology, land use change, vegetation monitoring, oceanography, urban areas). Practical work in the lab and outside involving an infrared thermometer (thermal infrared) and a spectroradiometer (visible-near infrared). |
