Ocean color, altimetry, surface temperature, ocean winds - Ocean colour: The underlying physics, the atmospheric correction, the retrieval methodology, the applications. - Altimetry: The basics of the measurements, corrections to be applied to the measurements, the different satellites and their characteristics, the applications to sea level rise. - Surface wind speed, sea surface temperature, and salinity. Principles of the measurements for each component (active and passive measurements for the wind). Description of the instrumentation. Accuracy requirement and the consequences.
